Exploring Warminster

Whilst in Warminster, you may want to take the opportunity to spend some time exploring this historic market town. Warminster offers a great range of shops, many of which are independently owned, providing a unique shopping experience. The town also boasts impressive heritage with many historic buildings.

Imber – The Ghost Village Exhibition

Discover more about the history of Imber Village at “Imber: The Ghost Village” – a free exhibition featuring local families that were impacted by the evacuation of Imber in 1943. This is being held at The Athenaeum Centre on Warminster High Street from Monday 11th to Saturday 16th August.

Art Exhibition

An Art exhibition, including cartoons by Julia Roberts (some of which which relate to the Imber Bus day) will be on display in the Exhibition Space at the library in Warminster from  16th – 30th August.

Warminster has an excellent choice of eateries that cater to all. While the town features familiar establishments it also boasts a variety of independent cafes, restaurants, pubs and takeaways.

Lake Pleasure Grounds

Whilst in Warminster, visit the award-winning Lake Pleasure Grounds. Located in the heart of Warminster, the town’s park is packed with facilities including a splashpad, skatepark, tennis courts, putting green and café. During the summer visitors can hire boats and canoes.
